The Princess, the Pearls & the Pekingese

Publisher: DC Press

The Princess The Pearls & The Pekingese is the story of a young princess, but she's not your ordinary princess. She is the daughter of the Creator of the universe, the King of kings! In this beautifully illustrated book, young readers, as well as the adults who read aloud, discover the important message of God's love for young girls and the role they play in his world. This very special message was explored in the first volume in this series, and it continues strongly though this Christmas edition. Through the words of author, Elizabeth Jamie Katz, The Princess experiences Christmas in a variety of ways, with her family, through activities at school and with her friends and at church. As the holidays develop, she is exposed to the joys of the season. She learns to bake Christmas cookies (recipes provided in the book for children to try, with adult supervision). There is the fun of shopping for presents. With friends and family, she experiences fun in the snow, as well as the enjoyment of singing in a choir. Throughout all of the various events of the Christmas season, she is aware of the importance of God's role -- as well as the value God places on her being part of all the joyous activities. As with the first book in this series, and with all yet to come, the message is clear: young girls hold a very dear place in the heart of God. Join the Princess and her adorable Pekingese as they embark on a fanciful adventure taking them from spaceships to submarines, ice skating to shopping, and from humorous mishaps to glamorous tea parties. All as they share a special and timeless message for young girls everywhere that they too are princesses God's precious daughters!?The Princess The Pearls & The Pekingese is a lovely book with beautiful illustrations and makes a perfect bedtime story you and your child will enjoy time and time again! The Christmas edition will be brought out, year after year, becoming part of our family's holiday tradition.

Author is working a large circle around her home in suburban New Orleans, LA and conducting book signings and readings at Christian and secular book stores, as well as unusual venues (children's clothing and furnishings stores). She has been working with a PR professional to set up large "speaking/reading" engagements (such as mega churches across the country). She is also interviewing a national PR agency, with inroads into the Christian marketplace, with the intention of getting interviewed on major TV and radio outlets. She appeared at the 2012 Christian Bookseller Assoc., where she signed copies of her first book. Among the various devices used to seed the marketplace, was the autographing of nearly 200 copies of her book, which were hand delivered to a church in Orlando, FL that specializes in homeless families.
