Gumshoe

A Novel

Perfect for hard-boiled PI fans—a combination of Philip Marlowe and Mike Hammer with a generous dash of Maxwell Smart.

The agent in charge of northern Nevada’s IRS office, Ronald Soranden, has been missing for almost three months when his skull is dropped into the slashed top of a Mustang convertible, owned by PI Mortimer Angel’s assistant. Though he is working on an unrelated embezzlement case, Mort is again thrust into the national spotlight. But the more progress Mort makes on his routine case, the closer he gets to Soranden’s murder—and to the most lethal situation of his life.
