After tragedy shatters William’s world of self-imposed isolation, he finds himself on the road with a younger woman whose life becomes intertwined with his. Forging an unlikely friendship, they must learn to navigate the dangers and chaos of their journey into Mexico, while confronting ghosts from the past.

The Last Line of a Goat Song is poetic and poignant, with characters full of longing, pain, and a desire to be seen, if not for who they are, then who they want to be. This is a riveting story of an unlikely friendship. A remarkable novel. - Edan Lepucki best selling author of California and Girl No. 17
