Trekking Torres del Paine

Chile's Premier National Park and Argentina's Los Glaciares National Park

This guidebook describes the Torres del Paine Circuit, a 140km trek through Chile's premier national park, Torres del Paine. The route is divided into 14 graded stages, with each stage ranging from 1.5km to 18.5km. Beginning at CONAF Administración and finishing at Refugio Paine Grande, the route takes 10 to 11 days to complete.

Located at the southern tip of the Andes, Torres del Paine National Park showcases a vast range of natural beauty. From towering granite spires to vast glaciers, remote valleys and pristine forests, the park offers sublime scenery and enchanting vistas.

This second edition also describes several other shorter walks, both in Torres del Paine and beyond, including a multi-day trek in Argentina's Los Glaciares national park and several excursions from Puerto Natales and El Calafate. Information on linking routes, travel, accommodation and equipment also included.
