Mixed Messages

Mixed Messages by Judith Lapadat is a startling new collection of poems. Lapadat uses imagery rich with colour and sound to explore the underbelly of grief and loss, and to learn to cope with the suicide of her husband.

With honesty and courage, Lapadat confronts her reactions to her husband's death and the challenges of raising her children alone. Despite tremendous obstacles, she survives to recount her struggles and triumphs. For those who love poetry and those who have dealt with the tragedy of losing a loved one, Mixed Messages will prove a moving testament to life, love, and the tenacity of the human spirit.

Judith Lapadat Born in Smithers, Judith Lapadat lived in Vancouver and Saskatchewan before moving to Prince George. She is now a professor of education at the University of Northern British Columbia and a painter.
