Michigan

Michigan is a study in contrasts. Here, one can find America's most ornate skyscrapers, the very picture of power, speed, glass, and steel. To many, the state conjures up images of bustling factories in the nation's burgeoning auto industry, or the revolutionary hard-rocking wall of sound of Motown music.   

But Michigan is so much more than that. Nestled between four of the five Great Lakes, this midwestern state is home to countless freshwater coasts, river rapids, and waterfalls. The landscape is covered with scenic forests and verdant orchards and farmlands.
