Ann Hoffman Currently, Ann has been living in Mexico for over three years. She loves it and thoroughly enjoys talking with others about their retirement abroad dreams. So how did she get there? Ann is a world traveler, having spent time in over 30 countries. She actually lived in Japan as a young military brat, then moved around the U.S. still being a brat. After college, she married, divorced, and held a variety of employed positions, from secretary to research assistant in premature labor, from travel agent to education specialist for a medical diagnostic company. At the ripe old age of 42, Ann took a leave of absence from work, borrowed some money, and headed to Australia to pursue her passion for scuba diving. She returned to the U.S. and continued working full-time while earning a Masters of Library Science. She worked in the biotech field for most of her library years and, throughout her entire working life, she traveled -- and knew that living abroad was in her future. She left corporate America and decided to fly on her own.
