The updated and expanded edition of the first book on the history and development of the mountain bike. In addition to the authors description of the origins and history of the mountain bike, the book includes contributions on personal experience by mountain bike pioneer Charlie Kelly and on the current and future development of the mountain bike by Rob van der Plas. The book contains approx. 100 black-and-white photographs and othe rillustrations.

He is the author of Bicycling Magazine's Complete Guide to Upgrading Your Bicycle and Birth of Dirt: The Origins of Mountain Biking.
