For most of her long lifeĀ Floy Morway, begged, borrowed, saved, and even stole cats to save them from abuse, abandonment, and worse. Over 40 years ago she founded Adopt-a-Cat, an organization which has now saved thousands of feline lives as one of the all-too-few refuges in the USA with a no-kill policy.

The Cat Lady of Concord takes the reader behind the scenes and over the top as the author recounts cat tales of all sorts based on the real life episodes of her crusade for the better treatment of cats and animals in general.

Adopt A Cat of Concord- News, June, 2012: It is with great sadness we wish to announce the passing of our mentor and dear friend Floy Morway. She joined all her feline friends to find forever peace on June 7th 2012. She leaves a great legacy of animal rescuers who will continue to dedicate themselves to loving care of abandoned animals everywhere. Floy you will be missed.

Floy Morway Floy Morway was born in Canada and has lived in Concord, MA since 1982. The organization she founded, now called Adopt-a-Cat of Concord, still continues to save and re-home felines. For her years of selfless dedication to animals the New England Anti-Vivisection Society awarded her their Reverence for Life Award. She joined all her feline friends to find forever peace on June 7th 2012.
