To Vegas and Back

This story begins with a 26 year-old woman living the American dream in the 1960s. She was a homemaker & mother of three in the suburbs of Philadelphia. At thirty-two she gets a divorce, and trades in brownies and carpools for pasties and feathers as a Showgirl in Las Vegas. This woman leaves her husband in 1972, is swooped up by a rich man who wants to make her a showgirl. He moves her to Vegas and upon arrival, he is murdered. Distraught, she is visited by the FBI to learns her deceased friend ran one of the largest Ponzi schemes in the U.S. She then meets a mobster who introduces her into the world of sex, drugs and the underground workings of Vegas casinos. She secures a position in the Les Folies Bergere at the Tropicana and becomes one of the most sought after showgirls of her time. This woman finally meets a man who wants to marry her & take in her children—a man who ultimately destroys their family with violence, alcohol & abuse over the course of six years.

Suzanne Krauss of Philadelphia, PA Suzanne Krauss began her career as a jr. film publicist for The Samuel Goldwyn Company. She then moved into magazine publishing for some of the largest brand names in the U.S., including YM and Cosmopolitan. She invented the fashion accessory, Zip-em in 2010 and is currently a marketing consultant. Suzanne lives in Fairfield County, CT with her husband and two children.
