Surprising Merrily

A Play In One Act

This delightfully entertaining 45 minute movie about a crisis in the career of a television host answers the question “What is Anglicanism?”  The night before a “must” performance she dreams about placating the Network’s tyrannical owner, and saving the TV show from cancelation, by dominating the guest appearance of “some religious guys.”  The dream sequence unfolds as a prickly interview of historical Anglicans C.S. Lewis, Thomas Cranmer and Richard Hooker.  Truly indelible, Surprising Merrily will help anyone understand the Great Reformation and Anglicanism, being the third largest Christian group globally.  The wide ranging content is as ecumenical as it is enduring and should interest anyone who professes the Christian faith or is a seeker.
