About Laurie Penrose

Laurie Penrose was born in Lansing, Michigan, and lives in West Branch.  The Penrose family has a deep love for the Great Lakes, and they worked together on this volume as well as several others.  Laurie's parents, Bill and Ruth, are avid outdoor photographers, and are responsible for the photographs in this book as well as three other Penrose family books.  Her brother Bill brings his attention to detail as he creates the maps found throughout all their guidebooks.
